We the people of Goa are proud of our mother tongue Konkani and we Goans demand from the government that Roman script to be made as official script of Konkani language along with Devanagari. It is a long time demand of Goans to give official status for Romi and knowing the truth the government cannot suppress the voice of people all the time. A big thanks to our Niz Goenkars who passed the resolution in their respective villages during the gram sabhas. The MLAs of respected constituencies in Goa should raise the long pending issue in the Goa assembly to fulfill the demand of the people by discussing the matter in the house and prove that you are a true son of the soil. Our ancestors have given their blood for the love and respect for Konkani language to keep it alive as we speak, write and read in Romi Konkani in Goa . I remember years ago people of Goa came out on streets and blocked the roads for our mother tongue Konkani. We request the government to listen to the voice of people and not to play dirty politics. Give the people of Goa what they deserve as we are Romi Konkani lovers.
