Need to issue Red Corner Notice for arrest of Suleman

It has been more than a week since the fugitive Suleman Khan, also known as Siddique fled from police custody but has not been apprehended as yet despite the best efforts of the police. Siddique’s apprehension is critical to ensuring justice and arresting the kingpins of the land-grabbing racket in Goa. Congress president Amit Patkar has reportedly written to Karnataka home minister G Parameshwara, asking the neighbouring state to help nab Suleman. Patkar said that Karnataka police should nab him, interrogate him, and conduct an investigation to find out how he escaped. The criminal is accused in 15 cases across the country and even abroad.

In a video the fugitive said that Goa police helped him escape to Hubballi. Siddique’s interrogation has revealed a sophisticated and elusive criminal network. He frequently changed his identity using fake documents, disguises, and aliases to evade law enforcement. He maintained multiple identities, even adopting female personas to avoid recognition. Siddique’s criminal activities extended beyond property fraud as he operated a complex system involving fake bank accounts opened in the names of middle-aged women, whom he befriended and used for his illegal financial activities.

Additionally, he regularly changed mobile phones and SIM cards to stay off the radar. Given the fact that he is a fugitive with a history of escaping arrest and that it took the Goa police more than four and half years to nab him, there is every possibility of him leaving the country. As he has cases registered against him internationally it would be in the fitness of things to issue a Red Corner Notice with a request by Interpol to law enforcement agencies around the world to locate and temporarily arrest the fugitive on the run who is wanted for serious crimes. Even if his passport has been confiscated by the police there is every possibility of him travelling on a forged passport.
