In quest for a world order as far as business and trade is concerned, Donald Trump of America is justified in imposing tariffs that are reciprocal by and large since he is the president of the United States and is supposed to protect the interests of his country so as to be fair and equitable to others also. Trump is on the cusp of announcing his tariffs which is akin to determine `the balance of power' financially that American trade will then become and the leverage that his announcements will bring about. Acting on behalf of America, but keeping in mind the shape world trade will take after his levies which is definitely going to be path-breaking one way or the other, Trump had made it clear that other countries are `ripping off' America with disproportionate tariffs and it will signal his administration's wisdom, if he does not go too far in protecting the interests of America while also being judicious so that world trade will not be adversely impacted. `Reciprocal tariffs' would be okay so that other countries are brought to account for unfair levies to American goods.
