Don’t ignore report of Finance Panel

The Finance Panel has submitted its report to the Chief Minister, potentially containing many recommendations for the government. However, is it sufficient to merely present the report to the CM?

One major issue highlighted is water deficiency and the decline of rural farming. Additionally, the TCP ministry has been issuing permissions for constructions and land conversions.

Another crucial point is the need to empower local self-governing bodies, a promise long held by the government. Without this empowerment, elected representatives remain limited to legislative roles. There is a concern that this report might be ignored, as seen with how GPDP and VDC finances are managed by the BDOs and higher authorities.
