It’s good to know that Goa will host the Sanatan Rashtra Sankhanad Mahotsav from May 17 to 19 at Farmagudi, Ponda. This major spiritual and cultural event will bring thousands of people from across India and even from abroad. Goa is often only seen as a place for tourism and nightlife. But events like this show another side of our State – its strong spiritual roots and rich culture. It’s great that temple committees are helping with accommodation, and that respected people from different fields will be attending. This makes the event even more special. As a Goan, I feel proud that our State is being recognised as a centre for spiritual tourism. I hope more such events are organised to highlight Goa’s cultural identity.
