Recently Murgaon High School in Vasco proudly witnessed the grand inauguration of its state-of-the-art STEM lab thereby marking a significant milestone in advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education for young learners as it provides hands-on learning experience in robotics and technology. Sharada Mandir Schools have inaugurated two new STEAM labs at the Miramar and Kadamba campuses. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.  Students will have access to 3D printing, robotics, programing, and simulations. It will provide hands-on experience in coding and innovations. These labs combine these subjects in a fun, hands-on way, sparking curiosity and a love for learning in young minds. STEAM labs are innovative learning spaces that go beyond textbooks, making education exciting and engaging.  STEAM projects often involve challenges and tasks that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Whether a child loves art, math, or technology, there’s something for everyone. Unfortunately not all schools have dedicated STEAM labs as yet. However, the importance of STEAM education is growing, and more schools are incorporating these elements into their curricula. Government schools in Goa need to introduce STEAM labs as it is a new innovation in school education.
