After Kashmir Files, the state is now in another file with attacks on tourists and innocent people. The attack took place on Tuesday at Pahalgam, a tourist spot, as many were killed for not being able to recite an Islamic verse as demanded by the attackers.

The said attack is claimed by Lashkar-e-Taiba, supported by Pakistan. The state is on the top list among Indian tourist places, and the incident has taken the state down the line. Many visit the place for peace, scenic beauty, and cool weather. But the attack and killings have opened another chapter and file which will affect the state's tourism. The state has gone back 10 years to when terrorist attacks were at their peak.

After Article 370 was removed by the government, the state was happy, but some political parties were not in favour of it. Today, the state has failed in its law and order, and many tourists did not return. The Prime Minister, on his Saudi Arabia visit, cut short his tour and returned on hearing the news.

Many Goans on tour experienced panic and were assured of safety by the state government. The attack is condemned by all, and such incidents will take Kashmir back to the blacklist of the tourist map until the situation becomes normal, which may take another decade. The law and order situation will be the most important factor now for Kashmir to bring back its glory.
