Damu Naik was elected unopposed for the post of party president of Goa state BJP. After Sadanand Shet Tanawade's five year tenure the reins of party is in the hands of new party president who has task of winning 27 seats in coming 2027 elections. It's the party ideology to give an opportunity to youngsters to showcase their leadership and Damu Naik is the right choice as he had contested assembly elections in the past. The party has lots to work on for Margao city which is also hoping for projects like KTC bus stand, parking place in city, new market project in present place at municipal area with security as there was robbery last month in the market. Margao municipality needs to pay attention over other issues faced by local traders and citizens. Though he is state party president people from Margao will have expectations on above projects which remained on paper. It's time for BJP to focus on local issues and hope the new leadership will be able to achieve the said task.
