President's Rule must be first imposed on UP, Uttarakhand

Governor Ananda Bose from West Bengal has made a beeline for Delhi in the wake of the R G Kar Medical College rape incident and the subsequent vandalism of the hospital facilities by a violent crowd to meet President Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah.  But an appointment with President Murmu eluded him. The agenda Bose has gone with is probably to report that law and order has completely collapsed in West Bengal and President's Rule needs be imposed in the State. If this is so then Uttar Pradesh is the first State where President's Rule need be imposed since on a single night of Saturday last, August 17, 2 cases of rape occurred in the State one of which was a heinous gang rape. The first rape was from Thakurdwara area of Moradabad where a nurse was taken hostage by a doctor and then raped. The second was in Prayagraj in the Sarayamarej police station area where 3 persons gang raped a housewife brutally. Again in neighbouring Uttarakhand a nurse was raped and killed and her body was found in Bilaspur in UP.
