After the meeting, Churchillbab was quick to go to the media to state that the CM has congratulated his team for winning the I-League title, profusely thanking Pramodbab for his gesture. No one knows better than Churchillbab how significant is Chief Minister’s congratulatory message for his football team, more so when the AIFF is expected to give its verdict during the weekend on the I-League match between Inter Kashi and Namdhari FC. Laughter breaks out as WRD Min forgets CM’s name mid-speech
Water Resources Department (WRD) Minister Subhashbab Shirodkar was the cynosure of all eyes at the inauguration of the multi-purpose cyclone shelter at Margao during the weekend, but for a different reason. In fact, laughter erupted when the WRD Minister rose to address the programme when he virtually went blank while addressing Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant. For, a couple of seconds, Subhashbab could not take the CM’s name. Neither the CM nor the WRD Minister could control their laughter. Interesting, isn’t it?

Curtorim Independent MLA Reginaldbab Lourenco seemed to have handled BJP State president Damubab Naik’s statement to contest elections in all the 40 Assembly constituencies in 2027 in his inimitable fashion. With the media seeking to know his stand on Damubab’s statement, the seasoned politician wriggled himself out of the situation without causing any embarrassment to the saffron brigade or his voters who seemed to have had reservations for extending support to the BJP. Guess the name of the ruling BJP MLA, who seemed hell bent in sabotaging the drive against illegal beach hawkers and vendors along Saxtti’s beach belt? Well, if sources are to be believed, this ruling MLA seemed telephoning all and sundry with a plea to go slow in the drive against migrant beach hawkers. Guess what’s the interest of this politician in scuttling the anti-hawking drives against the migrant woman? No prizes for the right answer.
