Friends and foes are trying to figure out what prompted AAP Benaulim MLA Venzybab Viegas to draw a parallel between CM Pramodbab Sawant and Goa’s first CM late Bhausaheb Bandodkar and that to on the historic Opinion Poll Day. Indeed, Venzybab’s statement has become a subject of debate and raised many an eyebrow in political circles in Saxttidom and outside. Sources are trying to figure out whether the government had tightened the screws in Benaulim post-AAP’s serious allegations made in the national capital on the jobs-for-cash scam and whether Venzybab was trying to do some damage control exercise. As two-time former Fatorda MLA Damubab Naik is all set to take over the reins of party chief position, questions are being raised back home how he would go about on his home ground Fatorda. For, with exactly two years to go for the 2027 Assembly polls, questions are asked whether Damubab will again throw his hat in the election ring or will he hand over the baton to the younger lot to take on arch political rival, Goa Forward chief, Vijaibab Sardesai in 2027. Kamat boosts Fatorda BJP but avoids criticism of Vijai
Cong-turned-BJP MLA Diggu’s presence at the installation of the new Fatorda BJP Mandal chief Shwetabai Lotlikar in the presence of former two-time MLA Damubab Naik must have certainly come as a boost for the party rank and file from Fatorda. In fact, many had expected Diggu to fire a couple of shots at friend-turned-foe, Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai, to lift the morale of the party rank and file. As it turned out, however, Diggu made no mention of the Goa Forward chief, leave alone firing shots at the Fatorda MLA. Has Damubab Naik anything to say?
Aleixo to meet Tanavade over Nuvem membership concerns
Has Saxtti lone Minister Aleixobab Sequeira had a meeting with outgoing State BJP chief, MP Sadanandbab Tanavade to find out whether the Party chief was unhappy with the party’s poor membership drive in the Minister’s home constituency Nuvem. Well, Aleixobab is back home after representing Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant at a Ministerial conference in Guwahati Assam. Aleixobab had politely declined to offer any comment on Tanavade’s outbursts directed at him, saying he would do only after he has a meeting with the party president. Any questions?
