What exactly did Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant convey at the Madgao Shigmotsav during the weekend when he called for efforts to put former MLA Damubab Naik in his original position? Well, the CM spoke about Diggu’s return to the original BJP party, and also expressed his happiness the Lotus has bloomed in neighbouring Navelim. Pramodbab now seemed to have set his eyes on the sworn political enemy Vijaibab Sardesai’s fiefdom, Fatorda. Damubab should be certainly pleased with CM Pramodbab, may even hope the CM’s statement will silence tongues spreading rumours that the BJP is looking for a new face in Fatorda. Any questions?

AAP leader Pratima playing the role of an activist
What’s Congress-turned-Aam Aadmi Party leader Pratimabai Coutinho up to, is a question being asked in Saxtti’s political circles for some time now. For, the irrepressible leader seemed playing the role of an activist than a politician. No doubt, she is associated with the Aam Aadmi Party, but is hardly seen on the political centrestage. On the other hand, Pratimabai has turned vocal in espousing social issues, including the Old Goa illegal structure and the ongoing Mhadei agitation. Interesting, isn’t it?
One-upmanship? When Kamat got Carnival, Shigmo floats back in city
Congress-turned-BJP MLA Diggu has left no stone unturned to justify the shifting of the Carnival and Shigmo float parade route back to Margao this year. In the bargain, Diggu has opened himself for a host of questions. One, why was the float parade conducted in Fatorda over the last five years when he and alliance partner Vijaibab Sardesai was part of the Margao civic body? Or, did Vijaibab bulldoze his way in getting the floats in Fatorda, leaving Diggu with no option than to play second fiddle in the alliance. Or, is Diggu sending a message that his return to the BJP has ensured the return of the floats to Margao. Many questions still remain unanswered.
