Goan teams Dempo Sports Club and Sesa Football Academy are all set to kick off their campaigns in the second edition of the Dream Sports Football Championships at SAG ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Dempo will face Chennaiyin FC at 8:30 am at the Utorda Sports Complex, while Sesa will take on Punjab FC at 5:30 am at the SAG Benaulim Ground.
The U-17 tournament will feature eight boys' and girls' teams, divided into two groups. Matches will be held at the SAG Benaulim Football Ground and Utorda Sports Complex, scheduled daily at 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. The two finals are set to take place at the Raia Football Ground on April 15.
In the boys' category, Group A includes Reliance Foundation Young Champs, Chennaiyin FC, Dempo Sports Club, and Mohun Bagan Super Giants. Group B features Punjab FC, Norwich City FC, Football 4 Change, and Sesa Football Academy.
Other matches on April 8 include Reliance Foundation Young Champs against Mohun Bagan Super Giants at 8:30 am in Benaulim and Norwich City FC versus Football 4 Change at 5:30 pm in Utorda.
In the girls' category, Group A consists of Assam, Jharkhand, Goa, and Karnataka, while Group B includes Kerala, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Delhi.
The group stage matches for the boys will be held on April 8, 10, and 12, while the girls’ group stage will take place on April 9, 11, and 13. The top team from each group in both categories will advance to the finals on April 15.
