MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the 33rd Arlem Rolling Trophy, organised by the Arlem Youth Association, with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fr. Agnel YSC Paroda at the Raia Panchayat ground on Tuesday.
Curtorim took an early lead in the 12th minute through Aleewad Mascarenhas. However, their advantage was short-lived as Godwin Fernandes struck back for Fr. Agnel just two minutes later, levelling the score at 1-1.
The decisive moment came in the 48th minute when Elton Mascarenhas netted the match-winner for Curtorim Gymkhana, sealing their place in the last eight.
Elton Mascarenhas was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Johnson Cardoso.
