The Goa Football Association will be conducting a New Referees Course on weekends starting from June 1 2024.
The course will open up scope for young boys and girls to become qualified referees for officiating in the GFA leagues where by one can earn part time, as a Referee. Besides, as the person grows with promotions he/she will be able to officiate at the All-India tournaments like the ISL, I League and further on become an International Referee.
Therefore, it would be a wonderful opportunity for all students or unemployed youth above 18 years old to make a career as a Referee.
There is also an opportunity for players who cannot exile further in their career to switch over to refereeing as a new career, with their playing experience they will be able to understand the game . A special request has been made by GFA to all the affiliated clubs to encourage players and recommend at least two candidates for this course.
