Rangers defeated Madgaon Royals by 17 runs in the final to win the Alcon GSB Unity Cup T20 cricket tournament.

Rangers scored 177/9 in their allotted 20 overs in the final match at the MCC ground in Margao. They then bundled out Madgaon Royals for 160 in 19.3 overs.

The tournament was organised by Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust, in association with Goa Saraswat Samaj. The matches were held at Panjim Gymkhana, Margao Cricket Club, and SK Ground Malkarne.

Akash Khaunte (Anil Counto Enterprises), Director of Alcon Group, was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Besides him, President of the Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust Siddhit Raiturkar, Managing Committee Member of MCC and Goa Cricket Association Aditya Angle, BCCI Panel Umpire Nitin Pai, Margao Municipal Corporation Councillor Dada Naik, Shamrao Builders Director Prathamesh Sukhthankar, former chairperson of Curchorem Municipal Council and current councillor Balkrishna Hodarkar, MCC President and Managing Partner of SRE Group Yogesh Naik, and members of the Trust and cricket lovers were present in large numbers.

Individual prizes: Disciplined Team: Mapusa Dream Crushers, Best Batter of the Tournament: Yash Prabhugaonkar (210 runs), Best Bowler of the Tournament: Nimay Kamat (11 wickets), Best Fielder of the Tournament: Samar Dubhashi (6 catches, 1 run out), Best Player U23: Manish Pai Kakode, Best Player Above 45: Amod Borker, Best Wicketkeeper: Sanjay Netravalkar, Man of the Match: Samar Dubhashi, Hero of the Match: Yash Prabhugaonkar, Player of the Match: Yash Prabhugaonkar (210 runs and 7 wickets).
