The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Sarzora Sports Club took place on Sunday at the SAG ground in Sarzora, where key decisions were made, including the dissolution of the current Executive Committee and the formation of a new Ad Hoc Committee.
The meeting began with a review of the minutes from the previous AGM held on February 12, 2023. However, due to various reasons, the minutes were not confirmed by the members present. Following this, the meeting moved forward with critical resolutions to reorganise the leadership of the club.
The existing Executive Committee, consisting of President Francisco Altino Furtado, Vice Presidents Aniceto Menezes and Aurobindo Pinto, Secretary Felix C Gracias, and Treasurer Socorrinha Lourdina Mascarenhas, was officially dissolved. A new Ad Hoc Committee was elected, with the following appointments: President: Sebastião Mascarenhas, Secretary: Felix C Gracias, Treasurer: Socorrinha Lourdina Mascarenhas.
The newly formed Ad Hoc Committee has been tasked with reviewing all records of the Sarzora Sports Club. Once this review is completed, a fresh AGM will be called to elect a new Executive Committee in accordance with the club’s bylaws.
In other decisions, the AGM resolved to reinstate the memberships of Seby Rebello and Valent Gracias, who had previously been suspended by the outgoing Executive Committee. Both members are now reinstated and will be fully involved in the club’s activities.
