CD Salgaocar edged Sporting Clube 3-2 in the Goa Professional League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Saturday.
CD Salgaocar took the lead in the 23rd minute when Pratesh Shirodkar rifled a right-footed strike into the top corner after a precise cutback from Boinao.
Just before halftime, Mevzen Oliveira’s long throw-in led to an own goal by Dhiraj Chouhan, doubling Salgaocar’s advantage.
Suraj extended the lead in the 67th minute, calmly finishing from Denil Rebello’s low cross off a short corner.
Sporting Clube pulled one back in the 81st minute as Doyal Alves converted a penalty after Brian Faria’s handball.
Alves struck again in stoppage time, heading in Selwyn Miranda’s cross, but CD Salgaocar held firm to seal a 3-2 victory.
