Former Goa Ranji Vice captain Hemant Angle added another feather to his cap when he received his completion certificate of the ICC Level 3 Global course in cricket coaching.
Ziyad Parker was the Head of the Faculty which included tutors from Australia, New Zealand South Africa and England namely Jarred, Jeremy, Peter Kelly and David. The course was held in November 2023 for 6 days in Dubai in ICC headquarters and after completion of various practical assignments in a year, the certificate has arrived now.
This certificate is the highest coaching Level in ICC. Hemant is the first and till now the only one to do it. He also holds NCA, NIS and MSDCA certificates apart from coaching in Goa for the last 35 years. Last year, Hemant successfully coached the South Zone in Duleep Trophy which they won beating the mighty West Zone.
Hemant played 33 Ranji matches being the first all-rounder to pick 50 wickets and score 1000 runs. He has also served GCA as a member of selection committee, Chairman for three terms, state qualified umpire and BCCI match referee. Angle has curated several turf pitches in Goa.
