Shreerang Sudesh Dalvi from Goa has been selected for the 68th National School Sports Championship to be held from November 17 to 21.
From the qualification round organised by The Goa Fencing Association (TGFA), Shreerang has been selected in epee category from Goa.
Ten contestants from Goa will travel to participate in the Under-17 National School Sports Championship to be held in Jammu. The tournament is organised at M A Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
Shreerang is a Class 8 student of L D Samant Vidyalaya, Porvorim. Around 350 players from across the country will be participating in the national competition with 35 teams gearing up to showcase their skills and win the highest honours.
Meanwhile, Dr Neeta Salunke, Principal of L D Samant Vidyalaya and all the teaching staff congratulated Shreerang for being selected for the national competition and wished him all the best for the championship.
