MARGAO: United Club of Verna, Margao Sports Club, and Ambelim Sports Club all recorded emphatic victories in the GFA Futsal Club Championship at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim, on Saturday.
UC Verna cruised to a 6-3 win against Futebol YFA. Elrich Fernandes's rapid-fire hat-trick was the highlight of the match. Clive Fernandes scored twice while Aniel Olveira added another goal. Sachin Patil scored two goals, and Nash Silva added one for Futebol YFA.
Margao Sports Club crushed Guwahati Parish Youth Nuvem 17-0. Ambelim Sports Club hammered St Sebastian Youth Club Murida Fatorda 7-3.
