The Goa Sports Kickboxing Association (GSKA) has etched its name in history by achieving an extraordinary feat at the 2024 World Kickboxing Championship in Alicante, Spain. For the first time ever, a team of 8 talented athletes from Goa represented India at this prestigious event—and they returned home as champions, bringing with them an impressive 15 medals: 2 Gold, 9 Silver, and 4 Bronze.

Competing in multiple categories—Sub Junior, Junior, Senior, and Special Child (Autism)—the GSKA athletes left a lasting impression. Among the standout performers was 10-year-old Ethan Sebastian, who made waves in the kickboxing world. After a stellar performance at the National Kickboxing Championship in 2023, where he won a Gold in the Sub Junior General category, Ethan went on to secure another Gold at the World Championship. His victory in the Musical Form category for Special Children demonstrated that age and challenges are no match for his passion and talent.

Female Medallists: Ahd Mulla – A shining star, Ahd clinched a Gold Medal in Musical Form and added a Silver Medal in Fight to her collection. Saanchi Chavan – A skilled competitor, Saanchi brought home Silver Medals in both Musical Form and Fight, showcasing her versatility and tenacity.

Male Medallists: Ethan Sebastian – The young prodigy earned Gold in Musical Form in the Special Child category, cementing his place among the best in the world. Akif Sayyad – A force to be reckoned with, Akif won Silver in Musical Form and Silver in Fight, demonstrating his excellence in both disciplines. Danish Mulla – With a remarkable effort, Danish bagged Silver in Musical Form and Bronze in Fight, proving his mettle in multiple arenas. Adyan Khan – Adyan earned Silver in Musical Form and Bronze in Fight, marking a fantastic achievement for the young athlete. Masood Katwalia – Masood added Silver in Musical Form and Bronze in Fight to his name, showcasing his versatility and perseverance. Sagar Naik – Another shining talent, Sagar brought home Silver in Musical Form and Bronze in Fight, contributing to the team’s stellar performance.

This groundbreaking achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the expert coaching and leadership of Hussain Mulla, the Head Coach of the Indian team, whose vision and dedication guided the athletes to success. His hard work, along with the support of Manasi Sebastian, the Female Team Coach, helped bring India’s kickboxing talent to the forefront of the world stage.
