Young star Ishita Colaso is poised for a double crown as she has advanced to the finals in both the Under-15 Girls and the Women’s Singles categories at the Panjim Gymkhana All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Panjim Gymkhana in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association. The tournament, held at the Panjim Gymkhana premises, has showcased top table tennis talent from across Goa, with Colaso leading the charge.
In the Under-15 Girls final, Ishita will face off against Neeza Kamat while in the Women’s Singles final, Colaso will go head-to-head with Pradnya Caro, setting the stage for a thrilling contest. In the Under-15 Girls Singles, the quarterfinals saw Neeza Kamat defeat Aarna Lotlikar 3-0, Sanisha Sinha overcoming Priyasha Nadodkar 3-0, Pradnya Caro dispatching Aayushi Amonkar 3-0, and Ishita Colaso beating Anaya Srivastava 3-1. The semifinals featured strong performances from Neeza, who defeated Sanisha Sinha 3-0, and Colaso, who triumphed over Pradnya Caro 3-0 to book her place in the final.
In the Women’s Singles category, the quarterfinals saw Neeza Kamat defeat Shreya Phadte 3-0, Ishita Colaso oust Sanisha Sinha 3-0, Urvi Surlakar beat Janvi Naik Dalal 3-1, and Pradnya Caro overcome Anushri Naik 3-1. The semifinals were equally competitive, with Colaso sweeping past Kamat 3-0 and Caro narrowly edging out Urvi Surlakar 3-2 to set up an exciting final clash.
