Mumbai City FC is set to face FC Goa this Saturday at 5 in the evening at PJN Stadium in Fatorda. This match is highly anticipated, especially with local talent Brandon Fernandes playing for Mumbai City FC. Head coach Petr Kratky has been vocal about the team's ongoing assessment and improvement as they aim for better performance this season.

In a recent interview, Coach Kratky emphasized the importance of constant progress. "We analyze our performance daily and weekly. It's clear we need to improve, but we also produce some good football. Our focus is on getting better every week and starting to win games," he stated. He mentioned that the team had excellent training sessions leading up to this match, which boosts their readiness.

Kraky also highlighted the significance of set pieces, noting that around 25% of goals come from them. "We practice set pieces extensively to ensure we are both dangerous in attack and solid in defense," he explained. He stressed that in tight matches, the ability to execute set pieces can be crucial.

When asked about the upcoming game against FC Goa, Kratky stated, "Every game is important for us. Our main goal is to give our best and try to win." He also commented on the readiness of players returning from national duty, such as Akash Mishra. "It's great for players like him and Vikram Pratap Singh to get minutes with the national team," he said.

Brandon Fernandes echoed the coach’s sentiments, stating, "The support from our fans has been amazing. We aim to give our best and try to win the game." He expressed excitement about returning to his home ground and emphasized the importance of playing good attacking football.

On the topic of new signings, Kratky mentioned that they are integrating well into the team. "They are improving every day and positively impacting our young players. It's essential for them to gel with the squad, and we have had very productive training sessions," he said.

As the match approaches, both Kratky and Fernandes are keen to deliver a strong performance. "I want to have the best game of my life," Fernandes added, showing his determination.

In closing, Kratky praised FC Goa's head coach, Manolo Marquez, noting his experience and the quality of the FC Goa team. "We respect their strength, but we need to focus on ourselves and be ready for the challenge ahead," he concluded.
