Pope John XXIII High School, Quepem, emerged as the champions of the Quepem Taluka U14 Girls Football Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at the Sports Complex in Borimoll, Quepem.
The winners defeated Immaculate Conception High School, Avedem, 2-0 in the final. In the semifinals, Pope John XXIII HS overpowered GHS Ambaulim 9-0.
The victorious team included players Alaina Fernandes, Priyoly Cardozo, Mudita Kanwar, Anushka Gopal Deikar, Aliya, Debosmita Das, Iyana Imtiaz Zambotker, Aquila Castanha, Svea Deziona Fernandes, Leisha Palash Fernandes, Alfonso Leska, Rachel Gonsalves, Clany Gomes, Priena Olivera, Trancy Fernandes, Valeda Travasso, Clenzira Fernandes, and Flenzia Carvalho.
