Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College of Arts and Commerce, Cancona, emerged victorious in both the men’s and women’s Kho-Kho Inter-Collegiate Championship 2024-25, organized by Goa University at the S.A.G. Kho-Kho courts, Fatorda Sports Complex, recently.
In the highly contested men’s championship final, Shree Mallikarjun College defeated CES College of Arts & Commerce, Cuncolim, with a final score of 27-17. In the women’s championship final, Shree Mallikarjun College triumphed over GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics, Farmagudi, with a narrow 14-12 victory.
In the men’s semifinals, Shree Mallikarjun College, Cancona, narrowly defeated Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Quepem, with a score of 10-9. CES College, Cuncolim, defeated SSA’s Government College of Arts & Commerce, Pernem, with a score of 15-7.
Earlier, in the women’s semifinals, Shree Mallikarjun College defeated CES College, Cuncolim, with a score of 20-14, while GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College, Farmagudi, defeated Government College, Quepem, with a score of 10-4.

A total of 11 men’s and 11 women’s teams participated in the three-day Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho Championship.
The presentation ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Theotone Vaaz, Principal of GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Farmagudi, Ponda. The Guest of Honor was Rajesh Naik, Assistant Director, Stadiums, SAG. Other dignitaries included Clemento, SAG Kho-Kho Coach; Sanket Jothkar, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa Multi-Faculty College, Dharbandora; and Balachandra Jadar, Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University. Medals and trophies were presented to the winners and runners-up.
