St Xavier High School Velim won the 1st Cuncolim Union All Goa Inter school Football tournament defeating Our lady of Carmel High School Curtorim 2-0 in the finals held this evening at Cuncolim union grounds Cuncolim
The tournament organized by Cuncolim Union in memory of their former club officials and players Bladwin Coutinho, Moti Dessai, Avinash Angle and Terezito Tias Fernandes, saw the teams locked goalless at half time.
Crizman Correia scored the first goal while John Fernandes scored the second goal for St Xavier High School Velim
Motilal Gaunkar Retired officer Directorate of Sports and Youth affairs was the chief guest while Sanjay Shetkar AEPO Salcete was the Guest of Honour
Former hockey Olympian, India captain and national team coach and Arjuna Awardee Joaquim Carvalho was one of the special invitees of the tournament.
Ramesh Dessai, Gladys Coutinho, Tacy Almeida, retired teachers were special invitees for the final.
Nilesh Kunde organizing chairman welcome while Vishal Dessai President propose the vote of thanks. Dinesh naik sports Secretary compered the final.
