Chowgule Global and Priority Construction MCC delivered dominant performances on Day 3 of the Bandodkar League T20 tournament, organised by Panjim Gymkhana, on Sunday.
In the first match, Chowgule Global secured a 23-run victory over Desserts N'More Geno SC, with Sohraab Dhaliwal stealing the spotlight with a 28-ball 72. His explosive knock included eight sixes, five of which came in a thrilling final over against Samit Aryan Mishra.
Chowgule Global posted a formidable total of 206/4, with solid contributions from Aryan Narvekar (58) and Ayush Verlekar (53). Dhaliwal was named Player of the Match for his blistering performance.
In response, Desserts N'More Geno SC fought valiantly, with opener Anand Tendulkar scoring an unbeaten 83 runs off 56 balls, including 10 boundaries and one six. Lalit Yadav also added a quickfire 55 runs from 29 balls, but their partnership of 84 for the fourth wicket was broken, and the chase fizzled out as Geno SC finished with 183/5.
The second match saw Priority Construction MCC dominate with a commanding 63-run win over Manas Panjim Gymkhana. Kaushal Hattangadi narrowly missed a century, falling short by just two runs after scoring an explosive 98 off 58 balls, which included 9 fours and 5 sixes. His knock powered Priority Construction MCC to 210/7, the highest total of the tournament so far. Hattangadi’s key partnership of 62 runs with Piyush Yadav (26) was pivotal.
Manas Panjim Gymkhana’s reply struggled, with regular wickets falling. Kashyap Bakhle's 50 was the standout performance, but the team was dismissed for 147 runs in 19 overs. Tapaswi Pinninti was the pick of the bowlers for MCC, claiming 4/40 in his 4 overs, including a stunning catch in the outfield.
