Bengaluru FC set to face HyderabadFC tonight, aiming for back-to-back wins against Hyderabad FC

Panaji: Bengaluru FC will host Hyderabad FC tonight at 7:30 PM at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, kicking off the second matchweek of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25.

The Blues have struggled in their last 10 meetings with Hyderabad FC, winning only twice. They are looking to achieve their first consecutive victories against this opponent. Meanwhile, Hyderabad FC aims to find their rhythm early this season, as they have lost their opening games in each of the last three ISL seasons.

Bengaluru FC's head coach, Gerard Zaragoza, praised young player Vinith Venkatesh, who scored the winning goal in their last match against East Bengal FC. However, Zaragoza emphasized that Vinith still has a lot to improve. He noted that the teenager played well but was nervous during his first match at Kanteerava Stadium. "He has quality, but he needs to work on his movements and tactical understanding of the game. We will help him become an even better player," Zaragoza said.

On the other hand, Hyderabad FC’s head coach, Thangboi Singto, is focused on building the team's performance without setting specific goals for the season just yet. He believes the upcoming matches will be crucial as some key overseas players have yet to join the squad. "We want to progress from last season and will take things step by step," Singto added.
