Crozan Society claimed the championship title at the inaugural All Goa Hockey 5s Tournament, organised by Verna Sports Club, after a thrilling 4-3 victory over Bastora United in the final held at Don Bosco Turf, Fatorda.
The goals for Crozan Society came from Sahil (2), Suyesh (1), and Issub (1), while Swapnil scored all three goals for Bastora United.
The finals were graced by Chief Guest Abhay Bhamaikar, President of Goan Hockey, along with Guest of Honour Farrel Futardo, Secretary of Goans Hockey, and Special Invitee Majitha Mathkar, a women's hockey player, who presented the prizes to both teams.
The champions received a cash prize of ₹10,000, while the runners-up took home ₹7,000. A total of nine teams participated in this one-day league and knockout tournament.
In his address, the President praised the club for reviving hockey in South Goa after many years and pledged support for the development of the sport in the region. The tournament was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Leo Pereira, Director of Don Bosco Fatorda.
