Goa’s star sensation Tanisha Crasto along with her partner Ishaan Bhatnagar from Chhattisgarh emerged runners up in the Mixed Doubles at the Scottish Open 2021 International Challenge Badminton Tournament, held at Glasgow, Scotland.
Tanisha/ Ishaan defeated the eight seeded Scottish pair of Alexander Dunn and Scociara Torrance 21-14, 21-11 in the quarterfinals, followed by a 21-19, 21-14 win over Denmark’s Jesper Toft/ Denclara Graversen in the semifinals.
In the finals, the Indian pair, who are the reigning Junior National champions, went down to fifth seeds, Callum Hemming/ Jessica Pugh (England) with a 21-15, 21-17 score line to settle for Silver.
