MARGAO: Guardian Angel SC Curchorem defeated Sporting Club Davorlim 2-1 in the 17th All Goa Inter-Village Seraulim Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, organized by United Sports Club of Seraulim, at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.
Guardian Angel took an early lead in the 2nd minute when Regan Costa pounced on a loose ball after the goalkeeper failed to intercept, calmly slotting it into the open net. At halftime, Guardian Angel led 1-0.
In the second half, Sporting Club Davorlim came out stronger, creating several dangerous attacks and hitting the crossbar twice. However, on the counterattack, Guardian Angel doubled their lead in the 46th minute through Godwin Fernandes, who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
Sporting Club Davorlim pulled one back in the dying moments of the match when Benny Figuerdo scored just before the final whistle, narrowing the score to 2-1.
