MARGAO
Mount Mary Chinchinim were crowned champions of the Nagoa Champions League 2025 after a commanding 6-0 victory over Castelwaddo Verna in the finals held at the Nagoa Panchayat ground on Sunday. The tournament was organized by the Nagoa Panchayat.
The final featured an intense, attacking style of football from both sides, with each team creating early opportunities. However, it was Mount Mary who made the most of their chances. The team delivered a clinical performance, with braces from Beniston Barretto, Ajay Satarkar, and Stephen Satarkar sealing the emphatic win.
Chief guest Osric Cabral, owner of the Cabral Group of Companies, presented the prizes during the post-match ceremony, joined by former India international footballer Mrs. Fenny Dias and Sister Alzira SFN.
