Nuvem Sports Club triumphed over Guardian Angel SC Curchorem 6-4 in a thrilling penalty shootout to secure their spot in the finals of the 17th All Goa Inter-Village Seraulim Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, organized by the United Sports Club of Seraulim. The match was held at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.
The game kicked off with both teams eager to take the lead. Guardian Angel S.C. struck first in the 11th minute when Jaison Dias made a quick run into the Nuvem defense and slotted the ball home from close range to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Nuvem had their chances to respond, but striker Jesuslee Rodrigues missed two golden opportunities to give his side the advantage.
The first half ended with Guardian Angel holding on to a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Nuvem dominated the play, pressing the Guardian Angel defense. As the game neared its final moments, and with the crowd preparing to leave, Nuvem’s Jowyin found the back of the net, scoring a last-minute equalizer to make it 1-1.
The match then went into a tiebreaker. Nuvem converted confidently through Shubert Colaco, Hudson Dias, Godfrey Mascarenhas, Frazer Miranda, and Darwin Colaco. Guardian Angel managed to score only through Ivo Costa, Fedrich Fernandes, and Bayan Menezes.
Nuvem Sports Club will now face Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the final, scheduled for February 16 at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.
