PANAJI: Railways topped the table going into the quarterfinals of the Shree Cement Interstate Bridge Championship. After 8 rounds of Swiss, joining them are three West Bengal teams, Maharashtra-C, Delhi-A, Karnataka-B, and Telangana-A.
The Railways team comprises Sumit Mukerjee, Debrata Majumder, Sandip Datta, Gopinath Manna, Sayantan Kushari, and Sagnik Roy, all from West Bengal.
Tomorrow, the Pairs Championship for the Subhash Agarwala Trophy begins, featuring nominated pairs from State Associations. Notably, this event is not a consolation prize, and losing quarterfinalist players can enter after the first session with a predetermined score.
