Swami Vivekananda College, SS Dempo College register huge wins

Swami Vivekananda College, Borim thumped Goa Dental College, Bambolim 6-0 in the inter-collegiate football championship, at Goa University ground.

The goalscorer for the winners were Sankesh Khodginkar, Prajwal Ghadi and Sairaj Gaonkar, Anish Gaude, Prajwal Ghadi and Eshaan Gaude.

In a second match CES College, Cuncolim registered a comfortable victory over Narayan Zantye College, Bicholim 4-0.

Akshay Velip gave CES College the lead in the first half. Post resumption, Cuncolim showed their full dominance and netted three goals which were scored by Godwin D’costa, Sandeep Chaudary and Livon Dias.

SS Dempo College, Cujira showed full domination by blanking Goa College of Arts, Althino 5-0. Chirag Konthankar netted a hat-trick while Ancila Da cruz was on target as well in the first half. In the second half, S.S. Dempo College scored one more goal through Muttappa Jamadarkhani and cruised through the pre-quarters.

At Chowgule College ground, Govt. College, Pernem and Don Bosco College, Panjim went to a tie-breaker after a full time score of 1-1. Both the team scored their respective goal in the first half through Jeson Fernandes of Don Bosco College, Panjim and was equalised by Govt College, Pernem in the 23rd minute. The game was finally decided through a tie-breaker in which Govt. College, Pernem won by a score 5-4.

In the second match, Govt College, Sanquelim defeated Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao 3-0. First goal of the match was scored by Edulaer Kalsaolkar in the first half and the other two goals came in the second half, where both goals were scored by Aryan Salunke.

DBCE, Fatorda edged past VMS College of Law, Miramar 2-1. Fatorda opened the scoring which came from Johan Araujo. In the second half, DBCE, Fatorda doubled their lead which came from Syndroy Araujo. Fighting back, VMS College of Law scored one goal in the 55th minute.
