CANACONA
SS Angle Higher Secondary School, Maxem won the Canacona Taluka-level U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament organised by the Director of Sports and Youth Affairs.
SS Angle beat Government Higher Secondary School, Canacona 2-0 in the final played at Karvem Grounds, Gaondongrim. Aniket Velip and Vaishab Pagi scored the goals for the Maxem team.
In the preliminary round, SS Angle beat St Anne's Institute, Agonda 3-0. All three goals were scored by Glenson Dias. In the semifinals, Glenson's lone goal sent the formidable Shri Mallikarjuna Vidyalaya, Canacona crashing out of the tournament.
The SS Angle team consisted of Vaishabh Pagi, Aniket Velip, Glenson Dias, Shubham Velip, Samarth Velip, Mayank Pagi, Moly Dhuri, Krishna Hembram, Ansh Pagi, Shreyash Pagi, Shan Pagi, Abhishek Lamani, Dwarikesh Desai, Aden Diniz, Ratnam Fondekar, Ketan Sudhir and was coached by Sajjan Gaonkar.
