Warriors FC, comprising of current and former internationals, were crowned as champion of Women's Futsal Super Cup after they beat FC YFA in the tournament organised by Camp Souza in association with Youth Futsal Academy on Thursday at Camp Souza outdoor futsal court, Camorlim.
Twelve teams from all over Goa participated in the knockout format one-day tournament that was held in preparation for the Futsal League to be organised at the venue with 12 teams already confirming participation. Internationals Karishma Shirvoikar and Michel Castanha were part of the Warriors FC side.
Chief guest Anju Turambekar (Technical Director, Dempo SC), guest of honour Savio Madeira (Interim Technical Director and Head of Coach Education, AIFF), Socorro Vaz (Founder, YFA) and Joshuah Vaz (AFC Futsal Level 1 Coach Educator, AIFF & Tournament Director) gave away the trophies and cash prizes.
The prizes: Winners - Warriors FC, Runners-up - FC YFA, Player of the Tournament - Karishma Shirvoikar (Warriors FC), Most Promising Player - Somaaya Mukundan (FC YFA), Best Goalkeeper - Astrid Pereira (Blink FC).
