In a remarkable achievement, 6-year-old Danilo Arminho Gomes, a student of Divine Heart School, Chandor, clinched two gold medals at the 4th Center Level Gymnastics Championship held at the Gymnastics Training Centre in Margao. Danilo’s success at such a young age has already garnered attention, and with continued dedication and support, he has the potential to become a top gymnast in the years to come.

Quepem Veterans edge out Bardez 1-0

In a thrilling encounter at Dando Ground, Benaulim, Quepem Veterans secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bardez Veterans in a closely contested match. The game was evenly matched, with both teams displaying grit and determination as they fought for control. The decisive moment came in the 35th minute when Anthony struck the only goal of the match, finding the back of the net to give Quepem a vital lead. Earlier in the day, Mitra Veterans put on a dominant display, comfortably defeating Varca Veterans 2-0. The star of the match was Trevor Antao, who scored both goals in quick succession—first in the 15th minute, followed by another strike in the 20th.

UC Telaulim, Rising Star notch up wins

United Club Telaulim and Rising Star SCC registered wins in the GFA 2nd Division League matches. At Cansaulim Sports Complex, Rising Star SCC defeated Benfica YC by 2-0 with Chrisval Joseph Gonsalces scoring a brace. At Rosary Church ground, UC Telaulim easily outwitted United Boys of Ambaulim 4-0. Daulat Dessai and Terence Lobo scored a brace each for Telaulim.

CD Salgaocar hold Vasco SC 1-1

Clube de Salgaocar held Vasco SC 1-1 in the GFA U-13 Division I League match played at Tilak Maidan, Vasco. Daksh Redkar gave the lead to Vasco SC in the 2nd minute of the match. Casroy Fernandes equalised for CD Salgaocar in the 60th minute.

Livval Sporting trounce Guardian Angel 10-0

Livval Sporting Association trounced Guardian Angel Sports Club 10-0 in the Vedanta Women's League football match played at Nagoa Panchayat ground. Karen Estrocio scored a fifer, Jossel Mascarenhas scored a brace while Nevilla Colaco, Prissy Pereira and Aniela Barreto scored a goal each for Livval.
