MARGAO: In a keenly fought encounter at the 18th Rebello Pandal football tournament, CC Nuvem emerged victorious with a 4-3 win over Chandrawaddo Boy's Fatorda, securing their spot in the quarterfinals. The match was organized by Rebello Pandal Maina at the St. Rita Church ground in Maina, Curtorim.
CC Nuvem established a strong lead in the first half, netting four goals with Akil and Larson each scoring twice. However, Chandrawaddo Boy's Fatorda mounted a spirited comeback in the second session. Striker Francisco Andrade led the charge, scoring two goals, while Charles Miranda added another.
Despite his team's efforts, Francisco Andrade of Chandrawaddo Boy's Fatorda was recognized for his performance and awarded the Man of the Match trophy by Carlos Paes.
