Ambelim Sports Club and Ponda Footballers are poised for a thrilling clash in the GFA Futsal Club Championship final, scheduled for Tuesday, following impressive runs in the tournament.

Ambelim's staggering 42-goal haul in the tournament so far has set the stage for a highly anticipated encounter against a determined Ponda side, as both teams looking to claim the coveted championship title at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim.

"The key to our championship success was the quality of our players, our positive attitude, and thorough preparation," stated a jubilant head coach Joao Rebello. The team's passionate celebrations at the semi-final whistle mirrored the intensity of their performance, as they now set their sights on the ultimate prize.

Rebello credited a focused pre-tournament camp for their tactical sharpness. "Our short camp helped fine-tune our strategy. We planned each match based on the opponents' strengths and weaknesses. We learned from our mistakes and improved continuously," he explained. Despite their seemingly flawless run to the final, the team's unwavering pursuit of perfection was evident.

"It's a remarkable achievement for us at Ambelim Sports Club to reach the final. It reflects our dedication, teamwork, and determination," Rebello added.

While Ambelim's journey to the final was the highlight, the championship also showcased the competitive spirit of other participating teams. Ponda Footballers, under the guidance of coach Franky Mendonca, entered the semi-final with determination.

"We are excited to be here again and are fully focused on delivering a strong performance to secure a positive result. We are ready for the challenge and will play our natural game," Mendonca said prior to the semi-final match.

"I have great confidence in our players to put forward their best performances. We are driven by ambition and believe in our ability to achieve our goals in the tournament," Mendonca concluded, acknowledging his team's efforts despite facing a formidable Ambelim side.
