Bhatti United emerged victorious by defeating Agxem Sports Club by a narrow 1-0 margin to clinch the Sporting Club Virabhat trophy, at St. Alex Church ground in Curtorim.
Both teams displayed attacking prowess throughout the game, with end-to-end action keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. Bhatti United's Patrick and Agxem's Jovial Martin had opportunities to score, but their attempts went wide or over the bar, leaving the score tied 0-0 at halftime.
The decisive moment arrived in the second half when Jovial Dias of Bhatti United broke the deadlock, finding the back of the net to put his team ahead. Agxem nearly equalised in injury time through Nickson Castanha, but Bhatti United's goalkeeper Perry Dias made a crucial save to secure the win.
Following the match, prizes were presented by chief guest Reginaldo Lourenco, MLA of Curtorim. Jovial Dias of Bhatti United received the dual honors of first scorer and man of the match. Other accolades included best defender (Aaron Dias, Bhatti United), best half (Nickson Castanha, Agxem Club), best goalkeeper (Perry Dias, Bhatti United), best forward (Alroy Gomes, Agxem Club), upcoming player (Anslem Fernandes, Camarxett), and best disciplined team (Paldem Sports Club).
