FC Goa's Brison Fernandes has made history by becoming the first Indian player to score braces in consecutive matches in the Indian Super League. His remarkable achievement came in FC Goa's 4-2 victory over Odisha FC, where Brison was instrumental in securing the win.

In the match, Brison stood out with a strong performance. He completed 12 out of 17 attempted passes, while also contributing defensively with one interception and two tackles. However, it was his two goals that truly made him the star of the game. His ability to score not once, but twice in back-to-back games, underlined his growing importance in FC Goa's attacking lineup.

Speaking about his performance, Brison expressed his happiness and satisfaction, saying, "I'm very happy with how I played. But we need to stay focused, continue giving 100 per cent, and keep working hard. Our training sessions are intense, and we will continue to put in our best effort on the pitch."

FC Goa's head coach, Manolo Marquez, was full of praise for Brison after the match. Reflecting on the player's progress, Marquez highlighted how Brison has evolved from a promising talent to a fully-fledged professional. The coach shared his thoughts: "I have always said that Brison is the best Indian player I have trained in my four seasons here in India. But people often wondered why he wasn't playing regularly. Now, Brison is a top professional, and he’s proving it every time he steps on the pitch."

Marquez highlighted how Brison’s game had evolved, especially in his understanding of both attack and defence. "Football is not just about attack. Before, we were waiting to see if Brison could do something with the ball when he received it. Now, he's scoring goals, but he's also working hard for the team in defence. He knows what he has to do, and he's executing it perfectly. I’m really happy for him," Marquez said.

The coach also pointed out how Brison's dedication off the field has contributed to his transformation. "Brison is now taking care of his rest, food, and fitness. He understands that every detail counts in becoming a top-level player. He's a great guy, and I think the people of Goa can be very satisfied with the way he is playing now."
