MARGAO
The Cavelossim Panchayat Cup Super Soccer tournament will begin on January 4 at the Fr. Druston and Wellington ground in Cavelossim. The inaugural match will feature Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, facing off against Our Lady of Gloria SC, Raia.
Top inter-village teams including Guardian Angel SC (Chandor), Davorlim, Seraulim, Rising Club Uguem, Parish Youth Nuvem, Socio and Cultural Club Loutolim, Benfica SC Vasco, Fr. Agnelo YC Paroda, St. Roque YC Majorda, Ambelim SC, Curtorim Gymkhana, Navelim Villagers Union, and hosts Cavelossim will also compete in the tournament.
The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 along with a rolling trophy, while the runners-up will receive Rs. 40,000. The tournament is fully sponsored by the Village Panchayat of Cavelossim, with the final match scheduled for January 19.
