FC Goa launched a new community project aimed at fostering a deeper connection between football and the younger generation across the state. This initiative follows the club's recent decision to lower ticket prices for home matches in the Indian Super League (ISL), making football more accessible to all.

The project stems from discussions at the GFDC Football Summit 2024, which highlighted the need to bridge the gap between football and the community. FC Goa plans to take proactive steps to ignite interest in the sport and make it more inclusive.

Ravi Puskur, CEO of FC Goa, emphasized the club's commitment to community outreach: “Football isn’t just a game – it’s a way to bring people together. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for young Goans to fall in love with the game.”

The initiative began with a visit to Loyola High School in Margao, where FC Goa stars Rowllin Borges and Brison Fernandes interacted with students, sharing their passion for football. The club aims to engage with 25 schools by the end of the season and expand to 150 schools over the next three years through workshops and interactive sessions.

Rowllin expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Seeing the kids’ excitement reminds me of why I fell in love with the game.” Principal Fr. Simon De Melo praised FC Goa's efforts, noting that football can inspire character, teamwork, and leadership.

As the project unfolds, FC Goa aims to empower children with professional guidance and mentorship, laying a strong foundation for the growth of football in Goa. For inquiries about future partnerships, contact: +91 95278 89994.
