Commonwealth Fountainheads triumphed over Ultracon Madgaon Royals by 9 wickets with 34 balls to spare on the 8th day of the 7th edition of the Rajdeep Builders Sarsangan Super Series Cricket 2024-25 at MCC Cricket Ground.

Put in to bat, the Royals got off to a solid start with openers Damodar Pai Patnekar (34) and Vishwesh Kamat (29), who put on 66 runs in 6 overs. However, the middle and lower order collapsed, and the Royals were all out for 116. Amod Borkar took a sensational hat-trick, claiming 3 wickets in his first 3 deliveries and finishing with figures of 3-10. He was supported by Pratap Prabhugaonkar (2-13), Yash Prabhugaonkar (2-29), Aditya Prabhugaonkar (1-12), and Saish Hegde (1-14).

In reply, the Fountainheads reached 120-1 in 14.2 overs. Amod Borkar led the charge with 38, while Raghuvir Gharse (28) and Aditya Prabhugaonkar (31* not out) guided them to a comfortable victory. Siddesh Desai took the only wicket for the Royals. The individual prizes went to: Amod Borkar (Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the-Match), Aditya Prabhugaonkar (Priority Constructions Best Batter), and Pratap Prabhugaonkar (Wakao Best Bowler).

In the second match, MLT Cricket Club defeated Vimson Panjim Powerplay by 4 runs in a thrilling encounter. MLT elected to bat first and posted a competitive 144-4, with Atchut Naik Dalal (35), Nityay Kuncolienkar (35), and Kauntey Shenvi (37* not out) making key contributions. Vimson’s bowlers Vrushabh Kuncolienkar (2-18), Anurag Borker (1-14), and Pranav Kamat (1-19) kept the total in check.

Vimson’s chase was plagued by regular wickets, and they slumped to 90-8. Despite a late fightback from Siddhant Kunde (27* not out) and Anurag Borker (11*), Vimson fell short, ending at 140-8 in 20 overs. Ishan Hodarkar was the standout bowler for MLT with figures of 2-8. The individual awards went to: Kauntey Shenvi (Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the-Match), Atchut Naik Dalal (Priority Constructions Best Batter), and Ishan Hodarkar (Wakao Best Bowler).

In the floodlit match, SinQ Rangers cruised to a 6-wicket win over Mapusa Dream Crushers, chasing down 154 with 11 balls to spare. The Dream Crushers were in trouble early at 13-3 but recovered thanks to Sarvesh Kamat (21), Pankaj Naik (27), Keshav Bhat (33), and Anish Mahambrey (20), reaching 154 in 20 overs. SinQ’s Mohit Kamat was the best bowler, claiming 3-25, with support from Amogh Namshiker (2-14), Tunish Sawkar (2-28), and Samprabh Phaldesai (1-20).

SinQ’s chase was powered by Sairaj Dhond (32), Smit Dalvi (21), and a solid partnership between Sahil Adwalpalkar (35) and Sanat Mhapne (35), who guided their team to 157-4 in 18.1 overs. The Dream Crushers struggled to grip the ball due to night dew. The individual awards went to: Tunish Sawkar (Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the-Match), Sanat Mhapne (Priority Constructions Best Batter), and Mohit Kamat (Wakao Best Bowler).
