Fr Agnel Paroda clinched a 3-0 victory over DBO Fatorda to advance to the quarter-finals of the 33rd Super Soccer Tournament,organised by United Boys of Dando Colva in memory of Joao Xavier Fernandes, at Dando ground, Benaulim.
Paroda started strong, controlling the first quarter of the match with exciting football. However, they faced a setback when Salvin Fernandes was sent off after receiving his second booking. Despite the numerical advantage, Fatorda couldn’t capitalise, and the first half ended goalless.
In the second half, Fatorda attempted to leverage their extra man but failed to find their rhythm. Paroda took full advantage, with Selton Fernandes breaking the deadlock in the 53rd minute and doubling the lead. Just three minutes later, Anthony Dias sealed the victory with a solo effort in the 59th minute.
