MARGAO: Fracture Verem Veterans secured their place in the quarterfinals of the All Goa Panjim Veterans Football Tournament, overcoming Siolim Veterans 3-1 in a penalty shootout at Taleigao ground.
The match concluded without a goal from either side, forcing a decisive penalty shootout. Avinash Shidorkar, Jitendra, and Sandip successfully converted their spot-kicks for Fracture Verem Veterans, while Sabestiao Lemos scored the lone goal for Siolim Veterans.
Amir Gotlekar of Siolim was recognized as the Man of the Match. The awards were presented by chief guest Tony Dias (ex Superintendent Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise) and guest of honor Francis Fernandes (ex GFA Vice President).
