The closing ceremony of the AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 1, organized by FC YFA in collaboration with the Goa Football Association (GFA), was held today at the Chowgule Sports Centre Futsal Court in Goa.
The event was graced by key figures including Dr. Caitano Fernandes (President, GFA), Anthony Pango (Senior Vice President, GFA), Schubert Furtado (Chairman, Futsal GFA), Socorro Vaz (Chairman, FC YFA), Ketan Satardekar (Head, Chowgule Sports Centre), Judon Dsouza (AIFF Observer), and Joshuah Stan Vaz (AFC Futsal Instructor).
GFA President Dr. Caitano Fernandes congratulated FC YFA and Socorro Vaz for their ongoing efforts in futsal development. He extended his best wishes to the coaches from across India and affirmed the GFA's plans for further growth of the sport in Goa and the nation.
AFC Futsal Instructor Joshuah Vaz expressed his gratitude to the organizers for hosting the course on behalf of the AFC and AIFF. He highlighted this as the fifth course at the Chowgule Sports Centre and the fourteenth in India. Vaz expressed his satisfaction with the coaches' progress over the six-day program, emphasizing their improved understanding of fundamental futsal concepts. He urged the newly certified coaches to disseminate their knowledge and educate players on proper futsal techniques, stressing the collaborative effort needed to enhance football skills in India through futsal in the years to come.
