Making history for Goa, Bhuvaneshwari Jadhav, daughter of Sangeeta Jadhav, secured the state’s first-ever gold medal in the Kalaripayattu event – Kaiporu category (Above 60 kg Girls Section) – at the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand.
Representing Goa with exceptional skill and determination, Bhuvaneshwari showcased her dominance throughout the competition. She secured resounding victories in the following matches:
Goa vs Rajasthan – 17-6; Goa vs Haryana – 14-5; Goa vs Delhi – Won with a Golden Point
Her stellar performance led to a well-deserved Gold Medal for Goa, while Delhi secured Silver, and Haryana bagged Bronze.
The Goa Kalaripayattu contingent was led by Goa Secretary Deepak Amonkar, under the guidance of Goa Coach Sudarshan Sampath. The event was overseen by Technical Official Ranjan Mullaratt .
